Korkyra Coon cattery is a small Maine Coon  cats cattery, registered with FIFe, and owned by Jasna & Andrej Matanovich.

We are living in the city of Split, largest city in the Dalmatia county, second - largest urban centre in Croatia. The city is located on the eastern shore of the Adriatic sea.

Split is also one of the oldest cities in the area, and is traditionally considered over 17 centuries old, grew from the Roman Emperor Diocletian's Palace.

Why Korkyra Coon?

Melaina Korkyra was the ancient Greek colony founded on the Croatian island of Korčula. Greek colonists from Corcyra formed a small colony on the island in the 6th century B.C. The Greeks named it "Black Corfu" after their homeland and the dense pine-woods on the island.

Among the others, Korčula includes the town of Vela Luka (header image). The town is located on the western side of the island, at the bottom of a wide and the beautiful Vela Luka Bay, which has many indented coves.

We are specially attached to the Vela Luka because that is where our forefathers are from.

Our cats Finnegan & Quinta live with us like the familly members. They are playing with our two kids Roko i Dora.

All our breeding cats will be tested for HCM (inccluding gene test), HD, FeLV and FIV.

Our kittens do not leave our cattery before age of 12 weeks, they are dewormed and vaccinated twice against Rhinotrachetis/Calicivirus/Panleukopenie and they got vaccination against rabbies.They come to their new homes with sales agreement, veterinary certificate and a pedigree.

For us it is the most important that our little coons find a good and loving home !!!
